Ashley Greene and Shiloh Fernandez stars in the upcoming indie drama "Skateland".
The flick depicts a genuine, touching and candid snapshot of the lives of a close-knit group of friends who are confronted with the realities of the precarious world around them. The film revolves around a charismatic young skating rink manager named Ritchie Wheeler (Fernandez), brother and sister Brent and Michelle Burkham (Heath Freeman, Greene) and the legendary, wise-cracking, Kenny Crawford (Taylor Handley) as their dreams and carefree lives start to fade into an uncertain future.

Ritchie Wheeler (Fernandez), Michelle Burkham (Greene), and wise-cracking lady-killer Kenny Crawford (Taylor Handley) struggle with the collapse of their tumultuous home lives, the alcohol-induced idling of reckless adolescence, and the wane of their hometown hangout, the local roller rink. A story syncopated with moments of violent turbulence, of heartbreak and of new beginnings, Skateland shows the brutal, but beautiful vastness of East Texas blue skies and the emotional claustrophobia of the Bible belt. Skateland is a place where aging values wrestle with contemporary pop culture to create a paradoxical balance between old and new.
